You Are What You Eat

Since my bout with breast cancer, I have totally changed my eating habits. Not that I had poor eating habits to begin with but since the scare, I have become more cognizant of what goes into my body. I stumbled upon an article in a magazine online. Since I have some free time, I decided to make the article into a Power Point presentation. Dr.  David Servan-Schreiber gives excellent suggestions for eating the right foods.
Enjoy!

Are you ready to change your eating habits?

That is very helpful information thanks for sharing. I always knew green food was very important to everyone and I do make my kids all the vegetables, the good thing I introduced them at an early age.

I work in a "waldorf" curriculum preschool, where we practice all natural eating habits and an all natural environment. This is a very good article I can share with the families. Thank you for informing! My father passed away of bial duct cancer in March 2011, one year later, I was diagnosed with galstones, and needed to get my galbladder removed. After these two very life changing events I can never learn enough about diet.

This is amazing, I myself suffer from health problems because i don't watch what I eat.
Reading about the different foods that help maintain a healthier body, has open my mind so much.

DrD,

Thank you for all these great reads! I am a firm believer in putting good things into your body. My mom raised me very health "conscious", which I am extremely grateful for! Growing up our dinner often consisted of veggies, tofu, and a whole grain, quinoa, millet, and couscous we ate often. She made fresh ginger tea, with grates ginger, lemon and honey. I'm so thankful for my mom teaching me how important it is to take care of you body. Now, I get to pass all this on to my kids!

I definitely agree that what we eat today will gradually effect on our body afterwards. Choosing and cooking meals are important as well. For example, a bananas are really good for breakfast, but if you eat bananas at late night, it will threaten your weight and cause diabetes.

I also believe if you include high alkaline water with your healthy organic food is the way to go. The more high alkaline foods you put in your body to more you fight off cancer. Also processed sugar should be consumed at a bear minimum or removed entierly from your diet, sugar=cancer.

This was very informational about the foods and how they reduce the stuff in your body and how it impacts your body in a good way. Sometimes doctors are not always right so it's also good to do research on your own to find some other stuff that could help you.

This is a great post, I believe lots of people struggle with weight issues and just don't haver the tools to know how to begin a healthy journey. Living in a country with more processed foods than organic options makes this challenge even more difficult.

Thank you for sharing this insightful information. The role of nutrition in cancer prevention and treatment is indeed fascinating. It's great to learn about the potential benefits of foods like pomegranate juice, turmeric, soy, and others in reducing inflammation and possibly aiding in cancer management. The connection between dietary choices and health outcomes is an area that continues to evolve, and it's encouraging to see research exploring these possibilities. I will incorporate more of these foods into my diet to improve my overall well-being.
